Bitton Park Bowls Club was founded in 1940. It is one of the leading Bowling Clubs in Devon, and is situated in Bitton Park, Teignmouth, within easy reach of the English Riviera and Exeter.
Our membership covers all ages and abilities, and anyone wishing to join the Club will be very welcome. The Club enters two Men’s teams in both the Mid Devon League and the Over 55’s League, and the Ladies enter two teams in the South Devon Ladies Bowling League, as well as a team in the Teignbridge Ladies Triples. The Club also participates in County and National Competitions, as well as a full programme of Tourist matches and Friendly fixtures.
We are able to play up to seven rinks on one of the best greens in Devon. Our Green is managed by our own members supported by professional advice.
Our Club House is equipped with a well-stocked Bar which is available for home matches and social events. We have had a brand new kitchen installed for the 2012 season which enables us to provide more substantial refreshments as well as the usual tea and biscuits. We also have spacious men’s and ladies’ changing facilities. For more information, please visit our website – see Club Information Panel.
For many years Bitton Park and The Den Bowling Clubs have played host to the Teignmouth Open Bowls Tournament. People come from far and wide to participate in this event. For more information, please visit our website.
We invite all beginners to come and have a go. The Club has qualified coaches who hold sessions for anyone wishing to try the game of bowls. These sessions are normally held on a Saturday morning, but, by arrangement, can be fitted in at other times. For more information, please contact the Club Secretary.
