EAGLES JUST LOSE OUT TO SABRES…

In the new format for the White Rose Trophy with one rink per side and only playing fifteen ends, the Devon Eagles were beaten by the Somerset Sabres by 21 shots to 15 in the Preliminary Round played at Topsham B.C. The team were trailing 2-15 after 7 ends, but they made a spirited fight back to be only three shots behind going into the last end. Unfortunately they were unable to make up the difference and bow out of the competition. Bowls Devon’s other side, the Devon Hawks play Gloucestershire Javelins at West Backwell B.C. on Sunday June 16th at 12 noon.
