Founded in 1908, the SIDMOUTH BOWLING CLUB is situated in the heart of East Devon and the Jurassic Coast. The club exists to provide facilities for, and promote participation in, the sport of bowls for the whole community. The club is affiliated to the Devon County Bowls Associations and Bowls England. The Club has facilities for both indoor (3 Rinks) and outdoor (12 Rinks) bowling. New members are always welcomed, plus training courses are run regularly.
New members, whether experienced players or absolute beginners, are most welcome to apply for membership. You will find that the existing members and coaches are very friendly, approachable and willing to assist you whenever you feel that you need guidance.
If you have never played flat green bowls and wish to learn the game, the Club invites you to participate in a six lesson training course in the indoor hall, during which you will be instructed in the necessary techniques and etiquette of the game by our coaching / training team who are accredited under the English Bowls Coaching Scheme.
TOURING SIDES are always welcome and will be warmly received and refreshed with a cream tea whatever the weather. Contact the fixtures secretary.
