Pinces Gardens

We are a friendly club whilst looking to win, our main aim is to enjoy our bowls with like minded others.

We welcome new members, beginners, or experienced. We have social activities throughout the year to which members and friends are welcomed.  We are located in St Thomas Exeter in Pinces Gardens on the edge of Barton fields. Parking is easy at the end of Queens Road and in Pinces Road where the main park entrances are. The nearest post code for sat navs & map finders is EX2 9EW. The club was formed in 1923 and uses a green and club hut, the landlord being Exeter City Council who tends and keeps the green.

 

The club is run by a committee with an annual general meeting after the end of the season in November. Officers are elected at the A.G.M. as per the club constitution. Prospective new members are always welcomed and should in the first instant contact the Hon secretary, or approach committee members when their application will be submitted. Instruction on the game if needed can be given as well as advice about dress, game protocol, and green access etc.

 

Club membership is a small nominal amount, with the council charge being additional. For details contact the Hon Sec: or Treasurer. A small match fee is required for each match played. Non playing members are welcomed at club membership charge only.

 

The season opens in April ( approx: 2nd / 3rd week ) and closes in September ( 3rd week ). All playing member are entitled to enter the various internal club championship competitions.
