| Our club is set in the lovely village of Marldon in South Devon, close to Paignton, Torquay and Brixham, jointly known as Torbay. The club was founded in 1987, but until 1995 when we acquired our own green, all matches were played away and the longstanding joke for touring sides is that we were once unbeaten at home for 8 years!!!!The club is affiiliated to the Bowls England and Bowls Devon. Our men play in the Mid Devon League, and the Over 55’s Triples League and our women in the South Devon Ladies Bowling League. Our club colours are green and gold, and the men play in green and white coloured shirts. and the ladies in “Marldon Green” waistcoatsWe also hold the annual Marldon Fours Open Tournament which is open to all clubs in the area and is always a very successful event.
The Club extends a warm welcome to new Members, whether experienced or beginners. We are fortunate to have a number of qualified Coaches and beginners and more experienced bowlers are encouraged to take part in the structured coaching sessions available. These can be arranged for groups of players or on a one to one basis to advise on specific problems. The Club holds social events in the Winter months and also plays a number of indoor friendly and league games.
