SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION FROM BOWLS ENGLAND….

Bowls Devon Clubs have achieved a 100% record in having a Safeguarding Officer in place before the May 1st deadline. However, Clubs must not now be complacent about Safeguarding, and, if your Club, for whatever reason, loses its Safeguarding Officer, it is essential that a replacement is found as soon as possible. In a letter sent out by the Chief Executive of Bowls England, which your Club Secretary should have received, the consequences of not having a registered Safeguarding Officer are laid out quite clearly, amongst which are the ineligibility of your Club or its affiliated members to enter Bowls England competitions in 2026 and from October 1st 2025 the restriction of all affiliation benefits.
