Congratulations to the Bowls Devon Ladies who defied the extremely wet conditions at Clarence BC, Weston-super-Mare, to defeat Wiltshire in the quarter-final of the Johns Trophy and thus qualify for Leamington.
This was a particularly good win as at one stage the Ladies were down by 42 shots, but they came back well to eventually win by 10 shots, 127-117. They now play Essex in the semi-final on August 19th at 9.30 a.m.
Unfortunately, in the Middleton Cup, the Men were beaten by Warwickshire by 2 shots in their quarter-final game which was played at Bristol BC.
