Ilfracombe

Awarded Bowls England 2023 Club Of The Year – Ilfracombe Bowling Club is a mixed membership club founded in 1893, it is one of the oldest clubs in Devon. We have one of the best greens in the county and pride ourselves on turning our club around to create a warm, inviting, vibrant and friendly environment.

Our membership is fast approaching 100 registered players; outdoor in the summer months and indoors short mat in the winter. Our ‘One Club’ philosophy is a true testament to our focus on fun, fitness, friendship and cameraderie.

We have an iconic clubhouse that we are now focused on transforming into a more modern, efficient environment with three indoor mats and the creation of a new heritage room to protect and capture our club history.

We also offer 9 pin skittles, recently introduced a beginners Bridge club on a Wednesday evening and with a fully stocked bar and music licence, plan to create more social and community events .

Ilfracombe is a traditional seaside town in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a wonderful and welcoming community with a selection of great pubs and amazing restaurants. The town itself has a number of boutique guest houses and holiday homes and we can offer support should you decide to visit.
